| Romeo Blue Hors Romanov x So Eager (Flipper) |
Romeo is a weanling Oldenburg colt by the stallion Blue Hors Romanov, out of an Oldenburg mare. He was a
premium foal at the Yancey Farms GOV inspection this year (both pictures above -- bottom pictures are his foal
pictures). He attended his first DSHB show on July 5, 2008, and scored 7.8 across the board for a total of 78%, not
bad for his first show, only ~2 weeks after being weaned. We've received his papers from GOV, and the papers
are marked both Premium Foal and Stallion Prospect. Lifetime USDF, USEF, PHR.
The dam, So Eager, is an Oldenburg mare (originally registered as a Canadian Sport Horse) who competed in the
jumper ring at HITS until an tragic trailer accident when she was only six. It took several months of stall rest and
bandages before we could even turn her out in a field. She was in foal with her first foal the entire time. She was a
wonderful patient, and is now our star broodmare. She attended the 2007 Yancey Farms GOV inspection with her
foal of that year (Premium), and was entered into the Main Mare Book, with the best score for the day for
"Correctness of Gaits", and scored an "8" on her Trot! She's pictured below.
