2009 was a good year! Romeo (Blue Hors Romanov x So Eager; GOV) finished 2nd in Zone 4 in the Yearling
Hunter Breeding and 20th in the nation, with very limited showing because of a cut on a leg in March. We're very
excited about his potential as a competition horse! Zymphony WON the Two-Year-Old Hunter Breeding in Zone 2
and finished tied for 10th in the nation! We tied for 10th in the nation in the rankings of Hunter Breeding
Breeders...moving up from our placing of 16th in 2008!
Our daughter Megan had a very good first year showing in the Green Pony Hunter division with Mt. Ridge
Countess (Tess). It was hard for her; unlike most kids, she did not have the years of preparation in the Crossrails
and Short Stirrup division. She started in the 2'3" division after about 10 shows EVER, on a 6-yr-old pony who had
only done one show prior to us buying her. It is a testament to the pony's temperament and trainability and to
Megan's tenacity that they finished 2009 11th in Zone 4 in the Green Pony Hunter division (and we pretty much
stopped showing in June). Of course, the downside to this is that Megan grew about 4 inches in 2009, and is now
outgrowing Tess, a big disappointment for her --- especially since she just won her first USEF Pony Medal class on
12/19/09 to qualify for the finals! Nevertheless, Tess will be a wonderful pony for a very lucky little rider...we hope
that we can sell or lease her to a very good home in 2010.
Congratulations to Zymphony (Mersley Mon Capatain x Mi Sugar Cane [TB]), pictured below with her owner getting
2nd place at Upperville 2009 in her 2-yr-old class! We're so proud of Zoe! Since this picture was taken, Zoe WON
her PHR class at Dressage at Devon (see picture at the bottom of this page) and will finish 1st in Zone 2 in the 2-
yr-old Hunter Breeding division! We have one mare available in foal to this promising stallion (see Sales Horses for
more information).
See updated sales pages -- mares and foals added. Videos can be provided for every sales horse -- call or email
if you are interested.
